EDWARD J. POLLOCK, SR. , age 78, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, with his wife and family at his side. Born on Friday, August 13, 1943, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph And Margaret (née Bendik) Pollock. Survived by his loving wife, Rita, his oldest son, Ed Jr. (Mary Beth), Elizabeth, and Michael(Kristen), along with his grandchildren: Shelby, Jacob, Rita C., Lucas, Benjamin, Xander, and Allison.

After graduating from West Virginia University, Ed proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Retiring with the rank of Major after 20 years, he and his family settled in the Cleveland area.  Never resting, Ed helped his family, extended family, and community as if they were his own sons and daughters.  Ed enjoyed his time on the zoning board of appeals and as a board member of the AM Vets Post 80 and the Italian American War Vets Post 34.

Ed and Rita loved to travel, especially cruising to new destinations.  He also enjoyed photography, archiving, history, Mount Union football games, and his newest passion, birdwatching. But his favorite activity was never missing his grandchildren’s events.

Ed will always be remembered for being there for his family and friends, for being a WVU Mountaineer, and for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Columbkille Catholic Church 6740 Broadview Road Parma, Ohio 44134 For a celebration of Ed’s life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday November 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. MEMORIAL VISITATION AT CHURCH, SATURDAY 9:30 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF MASS.
