Obituary: Eleanore (Ellie) Wybawinski

Eleanore (Ellie) Wybawinski 87 passed away September 2, 2020 at Elmcroft Assisted Living of Sagamore Hills after a long illness. Ellie passed away peacefully with her Eucharistic Minister Judy Zaborski and Father James Kulway of St. Barnabas Parish at her side. Born November 22, 1933 in Cleveland, Ellie was the beloved daughter of Joseph Wybawinski Sr. and Henrietta (Kundra) Wybawinski. She was a long-time resident of Northfield Center. Ellie worked for White Motor Company, Ohio Garment Rental, and retired from the Youth Developent Center in Hudson. She was an alumnus of St. Casimir Church in Cleveland and was proud of her Polish heritage. She is survived by her sister-in-law Frances (wife of the late Bernard), many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was especially close to her cousin Ron Wisniewski and his wife Marlene and she appreciated their kindness and devotion to her. Her neighbors Bob and Jean Novak were treasured friends and assisted in her care for many years. Her nephew Ken Wyban was Ellie’s primary caregiver and advocate throughout her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters; Genevive “Gene” Fortier, Helen Anderson and Louise Felt, her brothers: John, Joseph Jr., Raymond, Eugene and Bernard. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Elmcroft for their dedicated and kind care to Ellie every day. Private interment services will be held at All Saints Cemetery.
