Elizabeth (Liz) Frances Fetsko, born Weber, age 89 of Northfield Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Daniel George Fetsko; parents, Ann (nee Ott) and Ludwig Weber; granddaughter Ashley Fetsko; and brothers George (Rene) and Robert (Jan) Weber. Liz is survived by her children: Mary Beth (Christopher) Zimmerman, Theresa (Adam) Karapandzich, Daniel T. (Laura) Fetsko, Robert (Mary Lynne) Fetsko, Stephen (Vickie) Fetsko, and Laura (Christopher) Minniear; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her brothers and sister, Edward (Cathy) Weber, Thomas (Carol) Weber, Virginia (Don) Chesnes, and Ludwig T (Marjie) Weber.

Liz grew up in Cleveland Heights, where she attended Beaumont High School. She received her nursing degree from St. John’s Hospital in 1955 and had a fulfilling career in pediatric nursing at University Hospital, Immaculate Conception and St. Paul schools, and Kaiser Permanente. Liz loved to bowl and play bridge, Nertz, and table tennis. She was a lifelong Indians fan and often spoke fondly about going to games as a child. She enjoyed baking, and her chocolate chip cookies, fudge, and “Grandma Applesauce” are all legendary. Liz loved raising her six children with Dan at their homes in Mayfield Heights and Lyndhurst. She adored her grandchildren, watching them play and grow. Most of all, she loved how close the whole family was, with everyone gathering regularly during the holidays.
