Florence E. Common (nee Knapp), age 92 of Sagamore Hills, OH, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark Twain Common; son Timothy Brian Common; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her sons Stephen (Christina) Common, Mark Twain (Yoshie) Common II, and Thomas (Terry) Common; grandchildren Justin and Marissa Common; sister Eleanore Simone; brother Jim (Dolores) Knapp; and many nieces and nephews.
Florence worked for many years as a teacher’s aide at Ledgeview Elementary School. She impacted many student’s lives and was still being recognized by former students. She was very social, and after her retirement, she became a member of the Red Hat Club and the Out to Lunch Bunch. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Mark Twain, and took many long weekend trips in the region. She was a huge Cleveland Sports fan and never missed a game. She was also an avid bowler and golfer. Florence was well loved by those who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, May 4, 2024 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Rd, Northfield, OH 44067.
