GEORGE DANIEL VADAJ; Age 91 Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved Husband of 69 years to Irene (nee Puruczky). Loving Father of George (Stacey) Denise Cale (George) Mark (Robin). Preceded in death by parents George and Sophie Vadaj. Cherished Grandfather of 8, Great Grandfather of 9. Brother of Mary Krajcirik (Steve Deceased), John (Deceased) Barbara. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Proudly Served his country in the Korean Conflict from 1951 – 1953. Decorated Combat Veteran, Recipient of Purple Heart. After returning from active duty, George trained at Dunwoody Culinary Institute, Minneapolis MN. Worked as a Baker at many of Cleveland finest Bakeries and was well known for his artistic creations. Founder of George’s Donuts formerly located in Garfield Hts. and currently in Twinsburg and Aurora. Founder of The Brass Bell Saloon Garfield Hts. where he was affectionately known as Poppa Georgie. He was a respected member of several communities and a father figure to many more. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Boating. A current member of Forest City Yacht Club.
