Obituary: HELEN I. KAPR

HELEN I. KAPR, formerly of Sagamore Hills, OH, passed away quietly into the arms of Jesus on Monday, February 6, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Anna Kellas, of Jamestown, NY and Norbert G. Kapr, her loving husband of 53 years. She was also preceded in death by her son, Norm Kapr in 2021. Helen is survived by her two daughters, Annette Balis (Rich) and Adrienne Ford (Bryan) and her daughter-in-law, Sue. She was “Gram” to her grandchildren, April, Ryan, Justin, Brent, and Nicole and great grandchildren, Matti, Molly, Isabelle, Nathan, and Zoe. Helen was active in her church, St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Northfield as a PSR teacher, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the prayer group. After moving to Twinsburg, she stayed active at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church. Helen was an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary at Northfield VFW Post 6768 for many years. She loved to cook and family favorites were chicken paprikash and pork, sauerkraut and dumplings. Everyone looked forward to her Thanksgiving stuffing! Mass of Christian Bural 9:30 a.m. at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
