Helen McBride (nee Thomas) age 88 of Northfield passed away Friday, October 28, 2022. Helen was born December 28, 1933 in Meadville, PA to the late George and Marie Thomas (nee Wand). She is the beloved wife (62 years) of the late Rufus J. McBride; loving mother of Doug (Kathy) McBride, Debi Welker (deceased), Dale McBride and Dee (Joe) Brode; dear grandmother of Dana and George Welker, Josh (Therese) McBride and Julia Brode; great-grandmother of Andrew and Milah Melton, Alexa, Benjamin and Joshua McBride, Sarah and Ava Welker; sister of the late Raymond Thomas, Barney Thomas, Margaret Sherred, Ruby Thomas and Katherine Akerly and dear aunt of many. Helen was a sweet woman who deeply loved and deeply felt emotion. She would literally give you her last dime even if she needed it too. She never had great financial wealth, but she was always content in what she did have. Her family was her life. She lived to be with us all. Life for her has been lonely since Rufus passed away – and now they are together again with their daughter Debi. All will miss her. She is finally at rest with the Lord. No more worrying. No more loneliness. No more sadness.
