Obituary: Jacqueline Fae (Marsh) Pence

Jacqueline Fae (Marsh) Pence, age 90, of Macedonia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2026 at Anna Maria of Aurora.

Born on March 3rd, 1935, in Springfield, Ohio, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late Andrew Marsh and Irene (Kimble) Marsh. She was an only child, but she spent her life creating a family full of love, laughter, and connection.

Jacqueline grew up in Springfield, where she later became a devoted homemaker and a loving mother. She had a natural gift for caring for others, a trait that showed in everything she did. She volunteered as a crossing guard at Ledgeview Elementary School, where she became a familiar and cherished presence. The children adored her — she greeted them every morning with a smile, treats, and a warmth that made everyone feel special and safe.

Jacqueline was a proud and loving mother to her children and took immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the devoted mother of William Andrew Pence (deceased), Dawn Denise Dziak, and Susan Marie Goodman (spouse Coy Goodman). She was a loving grandmother to Tiffany (Dan) Roxbury, Loren (Joe) Elchick, Nickie (Norton) Nystrom, Richard Salera, Joey Dziak, Kristen Davies, Nate (Emily) Goodman, and Ed Goodman. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Hailey, Austin, Noah, Lincoln, Bradley, Devin, Lydia, Jared, Mick, Jason, and Levi — each of whom brought her endless joy and pride.

Family was the center of Jacqueline’s world. She loved traveling with her husband, family, and friends, and fishing for walleye was one of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed gambling, laughing, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Holidays at her home were her favorite — her door was always open, and everyone was welcome. If you needed a place to go, Jacqueline’s home was it.

She had a sense of humor like no other and a heart that never judged. Jacqueline accepted people exactly as they were, offering love, help, and understanding without hesitation. Being around her made you feel comfortable, cared for, and truly seen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Pence; and her son, William Andrew Pence.

Jacqueline will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. Her kindness, laughter, and open heart will live on in the many lives she touched.
