Obituary: JOANNE F. STEWART (nee Metz)

JOANNE F. STEWART (nee Metz), age 85, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Stewart; loving mother of Robert (deceased), Paul (Colette), James (Lynn), David (Darlene), Mark, Gary (Tina), Greg, Melissa Norton (Paul), Matthew (April); cherished grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 24; dearest daughter of the late James and Katherine (nee Habberkorn) Metz; dear sister of James Metz (Vera), Jack Metz (MaryAnn); aunt and friend to many. Joanne retired from the City of Bedford after 24 years of dedicated service, was highly active with the Meals on Wheels organization for 17 years and enjoyed gardening and flowers in her spare time. Most of all Joanne was the cornerstone of and completely devoted to her family. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION SUNDAY AND MONDAY 1 to 5 PM. OUT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER MASKS WILL BE WORN AND SOCIAL DISTANCING OBSERVED. Friends are asked to gather Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 400 Center Rd., Bedford, OH for a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Joanne’s life at 10 AM, and where masks will be worn and social distancing observed. Burial at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Hospice of the Western Reserve or American Cancer Society.
