JOHN SAMMON, age 86, passed away on January 18, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Ryan); loving father of Kathy Hengesbach (Leo), Eileen Kandare (the late Edward), and Margie Hubman; dear grandfather of Thomas Ruzinok (Maureen), Rob Hubman (Kelly), John Kandare (Sara), Shannon Hubman-Gross (William), Pat Hubman, Tim Hubman, and Maggie Hubman; great grandfather of Natalie, Caleb, Jude, Gideon, Nora, and Luca; brother of all the following deceased, Arthur (Tee) and James (Joan). Jack was a man of deep faith. His prayers were first as he woke every morning and laid to sleep each night. Next to faith, the love for his family was foremost on his mind. He was fiercely loyal and always ensured his family knew the depth of his love. Next in line of devotion was baseball, particularly Indians/Guardians baseball. Football and College basketball were next on the list. He was an avid reader and considered himself a true historian. He had a gift for storytelling and a wonderful sense of humor. The little sparkle in his eyes will truly be missed but never forgotten. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD.
