JOHN W. PUSCIAN age 83, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Veronica “Ronnie” (nee Livingston); loving father of John (Kim), Lorette Mann (Butch) and Michelle Gagné (Jean); cherished grandfather of Ashley, Brooke, John C, Celine, Doug and Élodie; treasured great-grandfather of Jaidyn and McKinley; adored son of the late John and Josephine; dear brother of the late Alvin, Stanley, Genevieve Puscian-Panek and Sophia Homer-Gmitter. Friend to many. John’s family would like to thank the staff at Maplewood at Twinsburg and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their exceptional love and care.
John met his treasured wife Ronnie in 1958 and they married soon after. His proudest accomplishment was their marriage of 60 years and the family they created. Together they built a beautiful life and his family finds comfort in knowing they have been reunited in heaven. We can see them dancing to their song, Put Your Head on My Shoulder.
John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at General Electric for many years as a machine builder. In his younger days, he loved coaching baseball and basketball. But John always loved all sports and if you had a question, John was your guy. He also enjoyed word seeks, anything sweet, scratch-offs and slot machines, TV game shows (especially Family Feud), polka music, and playing cards. Undoubtedly, John loved life.
John was a true gentleman, patient and generous and always put family first. Regardless of who you were and where your mindset was, he always had a kind word to share, perhaps a story or two, and the best sense of humor. He was truly loved and adored by all that knew him. John was the kindest man full of grace and appreciation, and this was never more evident than in his final days. He was a true fighter these past 6 months and met each challenge with his infectious smile, strong resolve, and positive attitude. He serves as an inspiration to all. He will be missed beyond words.
