JOHNNY E. HUISMAN, age 53, passed away November 10, 2021. Beloved husband of Nikkie (nee Hicks); loving father of Gabrielle Bowser and Colin Bowser; dear son of the late John and Geraldine (nee Shamrock); nephew of Judith Cascone (Tony); cousin of Robert Johnson.

To know Johnny is to know the heart of the Lord. Johnny’s passion, zeal, and unwavering faith in the Lord is evident to all who came in contact with him. He was unashamed and unapologetic in sharing the Lord’s goodness and His word.  Next to being a fervent man of God, Johnny’s love for his wife Nikkie and his children Gabby and Colin shown through in all that he did. He held his family in such high esteem and would proudly boast about his “trophy” wife and awesome children. He took being a husband and a father with such an honor and privilege.

Johnny was an iron worker by trade, as was his father. He loved life. His laughter echoed in any room he entered. He loved to play pranks, share funny quotes, and just make life fun. He loved fishing, being out on the lake, and sharing old fishing stories from trips to Canada with his parents and friends.  He was a hard worker, stubborn and as he would say “could run circles around these young bucks”. He worked at Brechbuhler Scales for the past 13 years and shared his love for the Lord and work ethic with all he encountered there. “Remember guys, I don’t ever want to hear you say you’re cold…the heat is in the tools.”

Johnny was so kind, gentle, loving and compassionate. He would give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar in his possession. His eyes, smile and laughter would light up any room and soften any heart.

Philippians 1:21  – “For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
