Obituary: JOYCE ANNE (ROACH) MORRIS

JOYCE ANNE (ROACH) MORRIS,died July 20,2017, in Twinsburg,Ohio. She was born in Shreveport,La. On Oct.18,1930 , to Ida and Grady Roach. After moving to New York ity, she modeled haute couture fashion, and once dated Joe DiMaggio. Joyce married a news broadcaster whose assignments led them from New York City to Zanesville, finally landing in Cleveland. In Cleveland, she cultivated a fine eye for design, antiques and cuisine. Her children and others fondly recall her pet names for them, such as Bootles, Pippa Mouse and Booties. As a single mother, she made ends meet to ensure her three children continued experiencing the lifestyle to which they were accustomed in Rocky River, Ohio. In 1969, she married locally renowed architect William Morris and later added Aimee to the family. Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter,Robyn Peltier; mother Ida; father Grady and grandmother Ida. Left to enjoy their memories are son Keith Moran, and his wife and children, Julie, Emily and Grace; daughter, Kimberley and her husband, Timothy Picard;daughter Aimee; and Robyn’s daughter, Rebecca and her husband Jacob Locklear. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 WEST AURORA ROAD (ROUTE#82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION SUNDAY 2:00 TO 4:00 PM.  Graveside Services will be held MONDAY 11:00 AM at Lakeview Cemetery (PLEASE MEET AT MAYFIELD ENTRANCE).
