JUDITH C. WOLF (Nee Brown); It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Wolf announce her passing on September 19, 2023. Judith was born in Barberton on December 2, 1940, the daughter of the late William and Anna Brown. Judie graduated from Kenmore High School, and worked at Firestone and Herberich Hall & Harter before marrying Jerome (Jerry) Wolf on May 12, 1962. A loving wife and mother, she supported her husband’s career in the rubber industry as they raised their four children across the country in Ohio, Nebraska, Illinois, Kansas, Georgia, and finally landing in East Amhurst, New York. Jerry passed away suddenly the day before their 29th anniversary. After his death, Judie remained in New York until her youngest son graduated from high school. She then returned home to Barberton, where she was reunited with her loving and loyal partner and friend William (Bill) Allen, who was at her side as she left this life.
Judie was a devout Catholic and parishioner at St. Augustine in Barberton, and her faith was a very important part of her life. As an active member of the local AARP, she served as both secretary and board member. Judie’s creative side was on full display over the years through her flower arranging jobs, specializing in making beautiful silk arrangements. An avid sports fan, her favorite team was the Cleveland Cavaliers. She enjoyed playing cards of all kinds, shopping, dancing, and tennis. Judie and Bill would play Euchre or Bid 500 with anyone who would be willing to lose to them!
She is preceded in death by husband Jerome F. Wolf, sisters Carole Ezell Bell, Joanne Jones, and Carmelita Brown, and brother Billy Brown. She is survived by her brother William Brown (Carol), her loving daughter Jacqueline (Mary Ann), sons Jeff (Heather), Jon (Dawn), and Jim (Deb); and 12 grandchildren – Emma & Calvin; Kyle (Kali), Cole, & Connor; Mary Cate, Owen, Nora, Jane, Luke, Greta, & David. Donations can be made to the Scleroderma Research Foundation 220 Montgomery Street Suite 484 San Francisco, CA 94104. Family and friends are asked to gather Wednesday, September 27th at St Augustine Parish for a Memorial Visitation from 1:00-2:00PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Judith’s life at 2:00PM.
