Obituary: MARY JANE DISALVO-SMITH (nee Camino)

MARY JANE DISALVO-SMITH (nee Camino), age 90, passed away at home on June 6, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Joseph G. DiSalvo and Louis Smith; dear mother of Robert (Kimara) and Phyllis; step-mother of Barb White, Marcia Moc, Cathy Knoll, Matt Smith and Mark Smith; dear grandmother of Angela Newberry (Patrick), Corinne DiSalvo, Joseph DiSalvo, and Michael DiSalvo; great grandmother of Jeannette Newberry, Nicole Newberry, and Vivian Newberry; sister of Carl Camino and Anthony “Tony” Camino (Corinne); longtime companion and friend of the late Walter County and his children, Donald County (Nora Lee), William County (Janis Emerson-County), Claire Kelly (Ronald), Marian Dale (Ray), John County (Karin), Carol Plas (Marty), Christine County, Colleen Krebsach (Paul), and the late Karen Fritz.

Mary Jane had a positive and faithful attitude that drew many friends over her life.
She was easy to laugh, even at herself. Up until two months ago, you would never find her without her crochet needle working away on afghans for the homeless that counted up to 300 being donated over the years. Mary Jane loved ballroom dancing. She always said that 70 years of dancing is what kept her healthy for so long.

May she dance her dance on the clouds!
