Obituary: Robert O. Burant

Robert O. Burant, age 68, of Stow, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2018.  Born on April 8, 1950 in Maple Heights, he was the son of the late Robert O. Sr. and Phyllis (Cukr) Burant. A 1968 graduate of Saint Peter Chanel High School, Bob went on to attend John Carroll University before marrying Barbara Hensman in 1972 and raising his family in Stow, Ohio. Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara (nee Hensman); his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Jason Yard; his most cherished grandchildren, Lucas Robert Yard and Morgan Lynne Yard who brought him such happiness throughout his illness.  Also surviving are his four siblings; Kathleen Mahan (Steve), Tom (Sally), Jim (Judi), and Carol Frick (David).  He also leaves many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Bob will be remembered for his sarcastic humor, quick wit and loving devotion to his family.Special thanks to the caring doctors and nurses at Akron General and The Cleveland Clinic for the care and compassion shown to Bob for the past five years.
