ROBERT TUPTA. It’s funny, as I sit here and write this I think back to all the times I’d find my Dad reading the obits. Looking for friends or people he’d known getting their last chance to make the paper. Well, Dad, this one’s for you. Robert Tupta born February 2, 1938, loving father and grandfather, leaves behind his wife (Mary) and a sprawling family of sons, (Bob, Jim, Chris, Jeff, Frank, and Eric), daughters (Anne, Rosemary, and Michaela) and fourteen grandchildren. A graduate of the class of 1956 from Benedictine High School, Bob went on to run track for Marquette University setting records for the school and graduating in 1961. As a teacher and a coach he worked in schools from Ohio to California. His passion for wood working and reclamation brought him into his golden years as an antique enthusiast. When he wasn’t fishing or watching his kids or grandkids compete you could usually find him working diligently on something somebody else no longer wanted and returning it to its original luster. Dad– your glowing personality and generous nature will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
