Obituary: ROSEMARY ANNE HOLYCROSS (nee Bugara)

ROSEMARY ANNE HOLYCROSS (nee Bugara). Wife of the late Thomas; Mother of Susan (Bill Schreiber), Tim (deceased), Jayne Palumbo (William deceased), Jill Zupon (Larry), Misty Capone (Ricky), and Brett: Grandmother of 12; Great-grandmother of  Charlie and Will; Aunt of many cherished nieces and nephews; Sister of Anne Stefanov, Ron Bugara, and Joe Bugara (all deceased); Raised in Cleveland by a loving family, Rosemary attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Elementary School and John Hay High School. After her marriage to Tom, Rosemary worked in and out of the home as she raised her six children. She was a valued employee of Stouffer’s in Shaker Heights, The Pharmacy in Bedford and Malley’s Chocolates in Woodmere where she was beloved by many customers for her cheerful and engaging manner. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Henry’s in Cleveland and Holy Trinity and Our Lady of Hope in Bedford. She had a special affinity for St. Anthony and angels. Rosemary  loved gardening, being out in the sun, dancing the polka, and bowling. As a cook, she specialized in chicken soup and homemade noodles, and she made several traditional Slovak specialties at Christmas and Easter. Her favorite flowers were tulips and gardenias, and often wore the color purple. She tried always to remain close to her cousins, friends and co-workers whom she dearly  loved. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve which cared for her with dignity and compassion in her final days. Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady Of Hope Catholic Church 400 Center Rd. Bedford, OH Saturday for a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Rosemary’s life at 10:30AM.
