THOMAS J. “T.Z.” ZINGALE, 91, passed away the morning of February 7, 2022. He was born June 30, 1930 to the late Josephine and William Zingale and was the oldest brother of Vince Zingale and the late Josephine Bobnar (Louis). Born and raised in Cleveland, much of his youth was spent at his family’s restaurant on Orange Ave. Known for being a hard worker, this is where T.Z. developed his work ethic, which remained until his final moments. T.Z. lived a good life, he lived it very well, and he enjoyed every minute of it. From the grand moments to the mundane, he savored everything life had to offer – a bowl of homemade pasta; a night out dancing; cocktails, music, and cards at the kitchen table; a glass of a good red wine or Johnnie Walker Red with a side of chocolate; time spent with family and friends. Everyone was drawn to this zest for life, even until his last day, which was spent surrounded by family, filled with the sound of laughter and Frank Sinatra and the sun shining after the winter storm. T.Z. is survived by his son Thomas J. Zingale, whom he lived with, and his daughter Christina Pappas (Mike); grandchildren Angela Russell (Chris), Carli Pappas, and Michael Pappas; and great grandchildren Lily and David Russell. He was the uncle of Michael Bobnar (Veronica), Michele Bobnar, Vincent Zingale (Lori), and Rocky Zingale (Patti), and a great uncle of many. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W.
