Millions of people watch “Law and Order SVU” every day, which isn’t a surprise, “Law and Order” is one of the longest-running shows in history. In March, the producers of Dick Wolf’s massive hit released a small bit of information about the best pop culture project of the year. Elliot Stabler, played by Christopher Meloni, will be making an appearance in season 22 of “Law and Order SVU.” Not only that, but he will also star in a 13 episode spin-off series. Elliot Stabler’s last season was season 12. The veteran actor hasn’t been sitting on his couch twiddling his thumbs; He played the lead in “Happy” action fiction series based off a graphic novel. The show ran for two seasons. The character, Elliot Stabler, has been a favorite for years. In season ten, the episode “Swing” touched the hearts of many. Stabler discovers his daughter’s drinking, and promiscuous behavior was brought on by her bipolar disorder. Fans also reveled in the detective dealing with pressure from his family to quit his job, his divorce troubles, and his dynamic friendship with Olivia Benson. News of his return couldn’t have come at a better time.
