Arrests
April 5 – A driver was arrested for OVI following a road rage incident at the end of Ashford Glen’s cul-de-sac. Officers were dispatched to the location and determined one of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was charged with OVI, OVI-refusal with prior OVI conviction, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
April 5 – Officers responded to a report of a disabled vehicle that went off the roadway near Northfield Baptist Church on W. Aurora Road. After investigation, officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for OVI, OVI with breath test over .17%, and operating without reasonable control.
Property crimes
April 4-5 – A resident reported that an unknown person attempted to use his credit card for multiple thousands of dollars in online purchases. The victim discovered unauthorized charges totaling $5,289.82 on his American Express card and reported the incident at the Sagamore Hills Police Department.
April 4-5 – Officers responded to The Basement Sports Bar on W. Aurora Road after a patron discovered damage to their vehicle in the parking lot. Someone had used an object to scratch the passenger side front and rear doors of a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The incident occurred between 11:40 PM and 1:54 AM.
Disputes
April 2 – Officers mediated a neighbor dispute on Carter Road involving multiple residents. No arrests were made, but officers documented the incident involving three neighboring properties.
