Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo to Share Stories at Cleveland Library

Rock legends discuss new children’s book at free September event

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will appear at Cleveland Public Library’s Martin Luther King Jr. Campus on September 3 at 6 p.m. for a free conversation about their new children’s book “My Grandma and Grandpa Rock.”

The event, co-hosted by Cleveland Public Library and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will be moderated by Jason Hanley, the Rock Hall’s Vice President of Education and Visitor Engagement. The discussion will explore the duo’s inspiration behind their children’s book and their journey as artists, partners and grandparents.

Cleveland Public Library will provide 300 free signed copies of the book from Loganberry Books on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional copies will be available for purchase or preorder through Loganberry Books.

“We’re excited to welcome Pat and Neil to our Martin Luther King Jr. Campus for a night of stories, creativity, and plenty of rock ‘n’ roll spirit,” said Erica Marks, Senior Director of Outreach and Programming Services at Cleveland Public Library.

The event celebrates the connection between music and storytelling across generations. Both longtime fans and newcomers are invited to attend the free program that combines literacy with rock music.
