PEOPLE: How the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has affected his life – Gary Miller

This is a series of articles about the people that live or work in this area. We asked them how the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has affected their job and/or family, what they would do different when we get back to a “new normal” and what has surprised them about the unprecedented global crisis.
The way this has affected my job:
Working in the mortuary field, I have to deal with infections, disease, body fluids and many different viruses. I basically take the same type of safety measures to protect myself and others. This virus has made me more aware of my surroundings.
What will I change when I get back to a new normal?
Probably not much will change every day. I have to be aware of my surroundings and take the obvious and not so obvious precautions.
What surprised me most about this situation?
Being in the mortuary field I am not really surprised by it too much. I have basically seen it all.
