Bipartisan legislation would expand health insurance coverage to include children’s hearing aids
COLUMBUS- State Reps. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington), Susan Manchester (R-Waynesfield) and Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) today announced that they will host a virtual press conference via Zoom on Wednesday, April 7 at 11:00 AM to discuss the introduction of House Bill (HB) 198, or “Madeline’s Law.” Introduced as HB 243 in the 133rd General Assembly, “Madeline’s Law” is a bipartisan bill that would expand health insurance coverage to include hearing aids for children up to the age of 21.
The lawmakers will be joined by several constituents of the three representatives, including Dr. Nadia Greenhalgh-Stanley and Dr. Shawn Rohlin of the Hudson area; Dr. Karen Klugo and Alexis Klugo of Cincinnati; Camille Warren and Ellie Warren of the Columbus area; and Dr. Carrie Spangler of Akron. Media will be able to ask questions via Zoom, and the press conference will also be livestreamed on the Ohio Channel.
