Retired Cleveland Police Sergeant, Margery Slatkovsky makes Cloth Masks

Each May, a retired Cleveland Police Sergeant, Margery Slatkovsky, a resident of Sagamore Hills, makes each officer something in order to commemorate Police Memorial Day. In the past, she has made awesome cookies that were individually packaged, for the officers. This year, Margery contacted Chief Hayes, and wanted to do something “out of the norm”.

Due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, Margery wanted each officer’s unit number. Ms. Slatkovsky then proceeded to make “Thin Blue Line” cloth masks for the officers. During Police Memorial week, she then delivered these for the officers. The Sagamore Hills Police Department and Chief Hayes, are very grateful to have such a kindhearted citizen in our great community. The masks will be utilized, by officers, for calls, during the next months. (photo of Officer Ryan Shelby)
