CLEVELAND (December 1, 2020) – While activities at the Museum are temporarily on pause, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is keeping the beat going and engaging fans digitally with extra content and programs in December.

Throughout December, be a part of a movement of unity, connection, and hope that’s infused with the spirit of rock & roll to bring people together and lift spirits. Radiating hope from the Rock Hall’s plaza is a Tree of Hope. Fans can head to rockhall.com to add their messages of inspiration and donate to support the Rock Hall’s mission and holiday partner Shoes and Clothes for Kids. Messages from artists and fans will also be shared across the Rock Hall’s social channels.

This Giving Tuesday, immerse yourself in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s mission to engage, teach, and inspire through the power of rock & roll. Enjoy a weeklong series of free virtual programs that showcase the Rock Hall’s impact, which is enabled by generous support every day, and consider making a gift. Programs include:

  • Backstage Pass (12/1): go inside the Rock Hall’s collections vault to get an insider look at artifact preservation, followed by a virtual tour of featured exhibits from our curators & educators.
  • Drum Like a Rock Star (12/2): experience a drumming tutorial, get insights from Inductee Max Weinberg of the E Street Band, and be the first to see a new Inductee drum being added to the collection!
  • Preserve Your Rock Star Legacy (12/3): the Rock Hall’s Library & Archives team gives insight into caring for audio/visual collections that encapsulate moments in rock & roll history. Plus, they’ll share tips on how you can preserve your “classic” collection of media right at home.
  • Rock Connects Us (12/4): join the Rock Hall’s education team as they demonstrate how their free online resource platform, Rock Hall EDU, is used to explore the musical and aesthetic connections between icons of the 1960s to today.
  • Rock & Yoga (12/5): rock & roll has the power to connect us and lift spirits. Unwind with an all levels vinyasa session that samples from the Rock Hall’s annual Believe in CLE yoga event.

 

New “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Vault” Podcast Episodes

Four new episodes of the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Vault” podcast are available in December. The episodes include iconic Induction speeches with unreleased materials with Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg (12/4), Jackson 5 and Diana Ross (12/11), The Cure & Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails (12/18), and Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge (12/25).

Step inside the Rock Hall virtually and experience new exhibits including the 2020 Inductee exhibit celebrating this year’s class, Baron Wolman Images of an Era highlighting iconic rock stars of the ‘60s, and “It’s Been Said All Along: Voices of Rage, Hope & Empowerment” spotlighting the powerful voice of artists as advocates for social change. The virtual tours offer 360-degree views of the exhibits with audio and written stories.

Teachers and parents can create a free account on Rock Hall EDU, the Rock Hall’s digital education platform powered by PNC to access supplemental activity information including craft supply lists, instructional sheets, and accompanying activity worksheets.
