Woman Charged With OVI After Crash – June 1

A single-vehicle collision on Chaffee Road in the Ashford Glen area resulted in the arrest of a Sagamore Hills woman on multiple charges. Officers responded to the crash at 7:41 a.m. and arrested the driver for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, operating without reasonable control, driving with a suspended license, and OVI refusal with a prior conviction. The woman was processed and taken to court.

Underage Party Broken Up at Pool Area – May 31

Sagamore Hills police responded to a noise complaint at the Oak Knolls pool area involving juveniles and possible alcohol consumption. Multiple juveniles fled when officers arrived, and open containers were found around the pool. Several young people who remained were cited for underage alcohol consumption and unruly juvenile behavior. The parent who reserved the pool for the party was advised of the violations.

Welfare Check Leads to Hospital Transport – May 31

Officers assisted Parma Police with a welfare check after reports of a driver threatening self-harm. Police located the vehicle at a gas station on E Aurora Road in Northfield Center. The driver was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

Domestic Dispute Response – May 31

Police responded to a domestic dispute call on S Gannett Road in Sagamore Hills. Officers handled the situation and cleared the scene without arrests.

Man Arrested After Casino Altercation – May 29

Northfield Village police responded to MGM Northfield Park for a physical altercation on the gaming floor at 4:55 a.m. Officers determined the primary aggressor and arrested a man for assault. He was booked and taken to Stow Municipal Court.

Traffic Stop Yields Drug Charges – May 31

A traffic stop for an equipment violation on Northfield Road led to drug charges. Officers observed criminal indicators and requested a K9 unit, which gave a positive indication. A search revealed narcotics, which were sent for analysis. The female driver was cited for drug paraphernalia and rear illumination violations.
