SAGAMORE HILLS, Ohio – During the latter half of April 2026, the Sagamore Hills Police Department managed a variety of calls ranging from violent threats to complex financial crimes. Notable among these was an early morning confrontation on Stuart Lane that resulted in an arrest for aggravated menacing, alongside several instances where residents reported becoming victims of identity fraud and domestic disturbances.
Aggravated Menacing Arrest on Stuart Lane
On April 16, 2026, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the roadway near Stuart Lane. The incident, which began around 12:42 a.m., involved a confrontation that led to the arrest of a 21-year-old male resident. The suspect was charged with aggravated menacing (ORC 2903.21) involving two female victims and one male witness. A 2021 Hyundai Sonata was also noted as being involved in the incident. The suspect was processed under arrest number A2425.
Identity Fraud and Financial Crimes
The department processed multiple reports of fraud throughout the week:

Houghton Road: On April 16, a resident reported being a victim of identity fraud that had potentially been occurring since August 2024. The reported loss in this case totaled $1,014.66.

Summersweet Trail: On April 21, another resident filed an on-station report regarding a fraud incident that occurred between April 20 and April 21.
Welfare Checks and Medical Assistance
Officers were called to Crystal Creek Road on the morning of April 19 following a report of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, police and rescue units discovered a 78-year-old male who was found deceased (DOA). Additionally, on April 21, police and a rescue squad responded to North Gannett Road to assist with a male experiencing a mental health crisis. The individual was voluntarily transported to Lutheran Hospital for a professional evaluation after reports of property damage and verbal abuse.
Neighbor Disputes and Disorderly Conduct
The Acadia Farms area on Olde Eight Road was the site of repeated police intervention:

April 21: Officers responded to a “neighbor trouble” complaint involving a disturbance between two female residents at approximately 7:18 p.m.

April 22: Police returned to the same location on Olde Eight Road after multiple 911 calls reported a fight between two males. Both men were charged with disorderly conduct (ORC 2917.11).
Separately, on April 18, officers were dispatched to a bar on West Aurora Road regarding a disorderly conduct complaint. A 45-year-old male was arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.
