Sagamore Hills Police Respond to Credit Card Fraud and Resident Assistance Calls

SAGAMORE HILLS, Ohio – The Sagamore Hills Police Department handled several incidents involving financial fraud, missing property, and welfare assistance between January 21 and January 25, 2026.

Credit Card Fraud and Deception
On January 21, officers responded to a residence on Arboretum Circle regarding a report of a scam. A resident reported the illegal use of a PNC debit/credit card. The incident, which reportedly began on January 18, is being investigated as a felony involving misuse of credit cards and theft by deception.

Missing Medication Delivery
A resident on Creekside Drive contacted police on January 21 after a FedEx package was delivered without its intended contents. The resident stated that while the package arrived, the medications that were supposed to be inside were missing. The case has been noted as lost property.

Welfare Check and Rescue Assistance
On the morning of January 23, multiple units responded to a home on Scenic Point Road. Officers conducted a welfare check on a resident and assisted the rescue squad at the scene.

Emergency Response on West Aurora Road
Early on January 25, Sagamore Hills officers and the Macedonia Fire Department were dispatched to an apartment complex on West Aurora Road. The emergency response was initiated following a report of an attempted suicide. Officers assisted at the scene.
