Sagamore Hills Police Department responded to various calls this past week, ranging from unusual vehicle accidents to domestic incidents and online fraud attempts.
Vehicle Drives Over Boulder
Officers observed a vehicle that had driven over a boulder and was stuck in the middle of Valley View Road near North Boyden Road on April 24. The driver was identified as Carol Marie Doubler, 81, of Broadview Heights, who was charged with operating without reasonable control.
Facebook Account Hacked in Fraud Attempt
A resident on Bridgewater Lane reported on April 24 that an unknown person had hacked his Facebook social media account and was attempting to steal money through the platform.
Domestic Incidents
Police units responded to a reported domestic dispute on Crystal Creek in Sagamore Hills on April 26. Officers arrived at the scene around 12:46 PM after receiving a call at 12:43 PM.
In another incident, officers responded to Shorthorn Drive where a welfare check revealed a domestic disturbance. The call came in around 11 PM on April 24, with Sagamore Hills Police Department responding along with Macedonia Fire Department.
Missing Teen Located
On April 24, dispatch received a call from a mother reporting her 18-year-old daughter had left home without her cellphone, car, or other necessities. The caller indicated there were suicidal comments found on her daughter’s phone. The missing teen was later located in Berea with assistance from Valley View Police Department and Berea Police Department. She was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Arrests
Kyle Martin Christensen was arrested when officers from Sagamore Hills Police Department responded to MGM on Northfield Road to assist Northfield Police Department on April 26.
