Strong Hitting Not Enough As Twinsburg Varsity Tigers Falls To Mayfield Varsity Wildcats
Even though Twinsburg Varsity Tigers collected 11 hits to Mayfield Varsity Wildcats’s nine, they still fell 8-3 on Saturday. R. McConoughey led Twinsburg Varsity Tigers with three hits.
Mayfield Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Ava Migliorini walked, Lilly Pinzone singled down the right field line, Sarah Piazza walked, Ella Mikesell singled to the left side of the infield, and Mayfield Varsity Wildcats scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.
Emily Morgan earned the win for Mayfield Varsity Wildcats. The starting pitcher allowed 11 hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking one. A. Twinsburg Varsity Tigers Storm Back To Defeat West Geauga Varsity Wolverines

Twinsburg Varsity Tigers trailed by as many as five, but came back to top West Geauga Varsity Wolverines on Saturday, 10-6.
West Geauga Varsity Wolverines jumped out to the lead in the top of the third inning after Peyton Gambatese tripled, scoring one run, Shaylynn Rogaski singled, scoring one run, Cara Day singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Twinsburg Varsity Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring six runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by K. Eder that drove in two.
A. Basel earned the win for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. The righty gave up three hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Lely Percassi took the loss for West Geauga Varsity Wolverines. The starting pitcher went five and one-third innings, giving up 10 runs (nine earned) on 13 hits, striking out four and walking two. T. Peiris stepped in the circle first for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. The starter surrendered five hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. M. Riley appeared in relief for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers.
