The Postal Food Drive will take place this Saturday, May 14th, in the communities of Macedonia, Northfield Center, Northfield Village and Sagamore Hills. The food collected will go to The Emergency Assistance Center that currently is serving monthly 859 individuals, 293 households, 159 senior citizens and 285 children.
As we approach the summer season with schools out and families on vacation, food donations–both cash and non-cash–drop off. By emphasizing this drive we hope to fill some of the gap that will develop during the summer months. The attached letter describes how each person can help by placing a bag of food by their mailbox in the morning of the 14th to be picked up by your postal carrier to be delivered to The Emergency Assistance Center food pantry. The letter also describes how to send a cash donation should you be unable to participate this Saturday. Click here for letter.
