On May 31, 2018, the Summit County Re-Entry Network will host Strengthening the Pathway, a re-entry event, at the Akron Urban League from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
The event is for providers, including faith-based, servicing justice-involved individuals either returning from jail or prison, or already home in their community, and is in partnership with the County of Summit, Akron Urban League, South Street Ministries/Front Porch, Oriana House, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Common Pleas Court, the University of Akron, Truly Reaching You (TRY), and Heart to Heart Family Support Center.
This re-entry event will focus on fostering dialog among the various providers throughout Summit County in order to gain a deeper understanding of the kinds of services participants provide for clients, and how collaboration and communication may be improved through a peer driven Re-entry Coalition. The goal is to develop best practices for delivering a continuum to ensure individuals’ needs are being met as they re-enter their communities and places of work.
