Sheriff Kandy Fatheree is seeking information regarding a recent shooting that took place in the City of Green. On September 19, 2021, at approximately 6:00 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 3900 block of Mayfair Road. Investigators determined that a 30 year old resident was robbed by a 17 year old male and a handgun was stolen during the robbery. The robbery victim chased the suspect into another apartment where an altercation occurred between the victim and the robbery suspect. The 30 year old male victim was shot 3 times during the altercation by the 17 year old male. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
On September 23, the 17 year old robbery/shooting suspect from Akron was arrested by Summit County Sheriff’s Detectives.
