On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Twinsburg Police Department conducted an operation targeting the sale of alcohol to underage persons. The operation included businesses located in Twinsburg, Macedonia, and Northfield Center Township. Of the nine establishments investigated, eight of them declined the sale of alcohol without proper identification.Â
At the other business located on West Aurora Road in Northfield Center Township, the store clerk sold alcohol to someone without verifying their age. The clerk identified as Jehad Tos, age 33 of Cleveland, was arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to an Underage Person (M1). In addition, Tos was found to have outstanding arrest warrants for failing to appear in court on a prior charge of Furnishing Alcohol to an Underage Person, Illegal Distribution of Tobacco, and Liquor Offenses. Mr. Tos was subsequently arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail.Â
“My office will continue to ensure that local businesses and their employees follow the law,” said Sheriff Fatheree. “We take the safety of our children in our community very seriously.”Â
