6/28/19 According to Macedonia police, a female parked her car at the Macedonia Recreation Center and was confronted by a man who yelled at her. She stated to the police, that at the time, she had not realized that he was intending to park in the same spot. She stated that she walked into the Rec Center, and a short time later was advised by a patron that someone might had “keyed” her car. She then went out to the parking lot and noticed a long scratch on the rear passenger door and a smaller scratch on the driver side door.
The police talked to a witness who stated they saw the suspect near the car acting suspiciously. The police were able to review the security video of the parking lot and could see it all happen. At first the old suspect denied any wrong doing, when the police talked to him. And then he admitted that he had became upset when the female took the parking spot he wanted. He stated that after yelling at her and parking his car, he walked next to her car and “did some damage to it”. He stated that he had never done anything like that before. The Sagamore Hills man, 66, was charged through Macedonia Mayor’s Court with Criminal Mischief (M3).
