So this morning went much better than yesterday!! Although she did pinch her thumb in her knee joint causing a small blood blister while trying to bend her knee to slide her chair in under her desk, she was in such good spirits today when I went back at recess time, and she was able to calmly tell me what happened without getting too upset. We came up with a new plan for recess/lunch and it worked out perfectly for her (and myself) we both felt extremely better about things. In fact she felt so comfortable she actually told me I could leave at lunch because she was good and I didn’t need to be there anymore!! We are so thankful we have an amazing school with amazing staff who will go above and beyond to try and make this transition as smooth as possible. I know there will still be rough days for her and I but knowing they are there to try to make things as easy as possible for her makes all the difference in the world! Looking forward to picking her up later to see how the rest of the day went!! Thank you Northfield Elementary!
