The Mangoes are all seventh graders at St. Barnabas School. They performed for the first time at the school’s talent show in January 2016. Since then, they’ve played at the Nordonia Night of Stars Talent Show and the St. Barnabas Bolt Like a Blazer Tech Trek, among other community events. The Mangoes all play multiple instruments, but most of the time you’ll hear Max Zuschin on drums, Stella Naymik on guitar and TJ Commager on the keys. Joey Raffaele and Libby Herberth are singers who occasionally rock out on bass guitar. The kids chose to call themselves The Mangoes because they discovered they all like to eat mangoes, one of the many snacks Max’s mom has made them during rehearsal breaks. Look for The Mangoes at the St. Barnabas Tech Trek in May and at the St. Barnabas Parish Festival in June.
