The Tuscan Vine is a new upscale, restaurant in Sagamore Hills, OH, offering tastes of Tuscany. Their pasta is made fresh daily offering spaghetti and linguini as some of their homemade pasta choices. The white cloth linens draping the tabletops add a simple, yet elegant décor and is as visually appealing to the eyes, as the food is to the palate. The spacious dining area offers larger picnic-size tables seating for up to groups of twelve. It is a good idea to reserve a table for a Friday or Saturday night meal. And it would be a good idea to reserve your valentine’s day meal now.
An array of vintage musical pieces complemented the modern décor offering a grand piano, violin, and clarinet. We were told by our Greek waitress named Maria, that they will be featuring a musician to listen to on occasion, which gives us reason to go back soon. Every employee we met had an Italian or European accent, including Maria, offering the most authentic, exquisite dining experience, and easy to understand.
Recently, my husband and daughter joined me in sampling flavorful dishes. We sampled the following; homemade penne pasta, tossed in a rich, creamy alfredo sauce, meatballs made with ground veal, and pork with tomato in a light, red Mascarpone sauce. The linguini pasta, made al dente added firmness and depth to the Bolognese sauce, accentuating the ground beef, pork, onion, garlic, parsley, tomato, and basil. The pasta is made to American specifications but is also available al dente (slightly firm) when heated, by just asking your server.
The Caprese Insalata was a satisfying addition to my meatball dish and one that allowed me to keep the carbohydrates to a minimum, as a recent personal choice. The balsamic vinaigrette with pesto basil enriched the perfectly round mozzarella pieces topping the tomato slices, offering a beautiful presentation. Our dinner was served with warm bread, an optional olive tapenade, and cubes of butter to be graciously melted inside the slightly chewy, crispy outer core.
