Fifth annual “hometown salute” returns to CLE, Sept. 23-27
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) has a fun-filled week to kick off the fifth annual Celebrate Cleveland, Sept. 23 – 27, 2019. Travelers and guests will be able to take part and enjoy festivities and treats all week long that resemble the true pride and spirit of Cleveland. Time flies when you’re having fun!
The 2019 lineup includes:
- Monday, Sept. 23: Walk the concourses with Chomps, the Cleveland Browns mascot, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. while indulging in Malley’s Chocolates CLE bars to make the celebration a little bit richer.
- Tuesday, Sept. 24: From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Professor Wylde’s Traveling Show is bringing the zoo to you, near Gate C4 and Concourse A (across from the checkpoint).
- Thursday, Sept. 26: Let the team spirit continue! From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Cleveland Indians mascot Slider will be making a return appearance to walk the concourse again this year. He will be treating passengers’ sweet tooth with Malley’s Chocolates candy bars.
- Friday, Sept. 27: You scream, “Ice cream” for Mitchell’s Ice Cream Social. To end the week, Mitchell’s will be handing out free scoops in front of Embers Fire & Ice Bar in the Main Terminal from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Come by and chill out!
