A Man on The Inside with Ted Danson. Each show can be viewed in under thirty minutes via Netflix. Ted Danson plays a widowed man named Charles- who leads a routine, yet mundane life since his late wife’s passing. He sees a classified ad for a job while doing his daily crossword puzzle and becomes a spoon the “inside”. Things shake up quickly when Charles moves into Pacific View Retirement home. Charles’ quirky daily interactions with residents as he plays “spy” to reveal the suspect of a stolen necklace consist of catching women’s glances and advances as he is seen as the most eligible bachelor, but is seen as a threat to the only other “tomcat” who also wants attention. Charles does anything but blend in as his spy mentor advises him to do.
I found the humor to be refreshing but I can also see how the age stereotypes with using technology could be not so funny to some. Nonetheless, I found the laugh out loud humor to be refreshing and a welcome break from same old movies and shows that seem to be lacking in the humor dept. in my opinion!
