A 27-year-old Twinsburg man has been charged in connection with a July 8 shooting at a Golden Link Boulevard business, according to a July 11 press release from Summit County Sheriff Kandy Fatheree.
Tre’Von Rondo has been charged with discharging a firearm over a public roadway, a third-degree felony.
Rondo, an employee of the Golden Link Boulevard cell phone provider became involved in some sort of altercation with a customer around 12:15 p.m.
Rondo pulled a gun and shot twice at the customer, according to Fatheree. No one was injured by either round; however, one bullet hit a car at a dealership across the street.
After the shooting, Rondo ran from the business but was found a short time later by officers from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Detective bureaus. He was transported to the Summit County Jail.
The customer, whose name has not been released, was charged with criminal damaging, according to Fatheree’s office.
Further charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, according to Fatheree.
The men knew each other and are former roommates, police added.
