Drug Arrests
May 4 – Drug Possession During Traffic Stop A Twinsburg resident was arrested on multiple charges during a traffic stop near Speedway on Darrow Road. The driver, found to have an active TPD warrant, was operating on a temporary permit when officers discovered drugs during a vehicle inventory. A white rock substance and marijuana were found in the vehicle. The suspect was charged with possession of drugs (F5) and temporary permit restrictions. He was transported to Solon Jail and held on a $5,000/10% bond for the warrant and a $2,500/PR bond for the drug possession charge.
Theft and Disturbance
May 1 – Gas Station Shoplifting A Boardman man was arrested at the BP gas station on Darrow Road after employees reported suspicious activity. The suspect was observed putting items in his pockets, including Reese’s popcorn, Swedish fish, peanut butter cups, and a Twix bar. He was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated (M4) and theft (M1).
OVI Arrests
May 2 – Speed Stop Leads to OVI A Brecksville man was arrested for OVI after a traffic stop on State Route 82 near Canyon Falls Boulevard. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. He was given a court date of May 7 at 1:00 PM through Stow Municipal Court and released on a $1,000 PR bond.
Warrant Arrests
May 7 – Bench Warrant Served An Akron woman was arrested by Macedonia Police on a TPD bench warrant. She was held for arraignment in Macedonia’s Mayor’s Court and was scheduled for video arraignment into Stow Municipal Court following her disposition.
May 2 – Traffic Stop Reveals Assault Warrant A Streetsboro woman was arrested during a traffic stop on Darrow Road for expired plates. She was found to have an active warrant for assault from Warrensville Heights. Custody was transferred to Warrensville Heights officers, and she was cited for expired plates.
May 1 – Pedestrian Stop Results in Warrant Arrest A pedestrian walking on Ravenna Road was arrested on a Macedonia Police Department warrant. The individual was transferred to Macedonia PD custody.
