07/05/2020 ASSIST RESCUE SQUAD
Northfield Officers were dispatched to the MGM for a male that was passed out at a slot machine. Officers arrived and found a hypodermic needle that was loaded with a clear substance. A report was taken.
07/09/2020 THEFT-ALL OTHER LARCENY TYPES
On July 9th, 2020 at approximately 1154 hours, I was at NVPD when the victim of a theft from the MGM arrived in the parking lot. He stated that his voucher was stolen. At that point an investigation was started.
07/10/2020 FOLLOW-UP INVESTIGATION
On 7/10/2020 at 1300 Hrs, I was notified to meet with Northfield Mayor Jesse Nehez and Service Director Jason Walters in regards to a complaint of rubber tire treads that were washed up on his property days earlier during a storm.
Further investigation shows that a neighbor directly to the east had stacked up piles of cut up tire treads located throughout his overgrown property. A small creek was located on the rear of the property which contained a make shift bridge made of used cut up rubber tire
treads. Due to the heavy rain/storms that took place on 7/7/2020, it appears that parts of the bridge were washed out, sending numerous rubber tire treads down stream. A neighbor immediately contacted the service department to assist with the debris backing up into his yard and creek. Photographs were taken of the debris/branches which ended up clogging the pipe that runs under the road.
At this time, a report was generated for documentation purposes.
07/15/2020 ASSIST RESCUE SQUAD
On 07/15/2020, at approximately 2115 hours, Northfield Village Officers responded for a
report of a female overdosing. Upon arrival, 1 dose of narcan was administered and the female became responsive. The female was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and evidence of drug usage was collected and logged into evidence.
07/19/2020 OVI-PHYSICAL CONTROL VEHICLE
On 7/19/ 2020 at approximately 2:44 AM, Officers were dispatched to Ledge Road for a report of a person slumped over in the seat of a running vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the individual. It appeared that the subject was impaired. Field sobriety
testing was conducted and the subject was subsequently placed under arrest for Physical Control. The vehicle was towed to Interstate towing in Twinsburg. The subject was given a mandatory NVMC Court date and released on a signature bond to a sober party.
07/20/2020 ASSAULT
On July 20, 2020 officers were dispatched to Handels at 10333 Northfield Rd on reports of a male shouting profanity at another male. When arrived calling party was not on scene. The other male involved was in the parking lot of the Northfield Village Police Department
wanting to speak to an officer. Report was taken for criminal damaging and assault. An investigation was started. No injuries. Pending charges.
07/23/2020 CRIMINAL DAMAGING-KNOWINGLY ANY MEANS
A supervisor from the MGM came to the station to file a criminal damage report for a damaged VLT machine. A report was taken and an investigation was begun.
07/24/2020 AGGRAVATED MENACING
On 07/24/2020, at approximately 15:54 hours, NVPD units responded to 10255 Northfield road for a male stating he was threatened by another male with a gun. Upon arrival the victim stated that the male was in room 36. as NVPD units approached the room, the male shut the door. After a brief stand-off, the male finally exited the room without incident. upon contact, the male was intoxicated and stated he had a bb gun in the room. A search of the room yielded two bb guns found on the bed and in a nightstand. the male was released to his sister and was told that he could not stay at the sunset anymore per management.
on 7/27/2020, the suspect involved turned himself in at the Northfield village police department where he was booked, charged with aggravated menacing and given a mandatory Northfield Village Mayor’s court date of 08/11/2020 at 0930 hours.
07/29/2020 DRUG POSSESSION
On listed date and time this officer observed a male that appeared to be unconcious on top of a vehicle in the MGM parking lot. During interaction with said male an amount of drugs was discovered to be in plain view sticking out of his pants pocket. The male was detained
and the drugs and subsequent drug abuse instruments found on his person were seized. The drugs will be sent to BCI for analysis and there will be pending charges. His custody was exchanged with Macedonia PD as he had a felony warrant with their department.
07/30/2020 AGGRAVATED MENACING
On July 30, 2020 Officers were dispatched to Huntington Dr for a fight in progress. When officers arrived all parties were separated. An investigation was started. One male was arrested for Aggravated Menacing. No major injuries.
07/31/2020 CRIMINAL TRESPASS
On listed date and time officers responded to the MGM Casino reference a male refusing to leave. On scene the male was advised by officers and casino security that he was to leave the property immediately. As we were clearing the call the male refused to leave and was
summoned into Northfield Village Mayors Court for Criminal Trespass. He then left the property.
