330

The future of our country has never been more uncertain. The country is gaining a new President to kick off 2021, and a national shutdown may be underway. I took time to interview one of our regular readers  regarding what a possible shutdown would mean to him and his loved ones. Here is what “quarantine mode” looks like for Jeffrey, a 32 year old Macedonia native who now resides in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

  1. Why would the shutdown be a vacation for you?

Jefferey:I have been pretty much working 60 hours a week for almost 2 years straight other than a two-week vacation each year.

  1. What was your reaction to the first shut down?

Jeffery:Didn’t really have one and I  was still working.

  1. What do you do for a living?

Jeffery: I work for Little Tikes Distribution Center in Hudson, Ohio.

  1. How did your family feel about the last shut down and how do they feel about possible future shutdowns

Jeffery: As far as I know everybody still worked they deemed kids toys an essential business because our customers are Walmart Target and Amazon.

  1. Were you about to keep up on bills

Jeffery:Yes.

  1. How did you spend your time during the Last shut down

Jeffery:How do you plan on spending your time if a future shutdown happens? I worked last time. If we get shut down. I’ll just enjoy the time off.

  1. How are you going to spend your $600 stimulus?

Jeffery: Probably invest it into my stock portfolio.

  1. Do you think the Senate will cave in and give everyone an extra $1400

Jeffery:At this point, who knows, I hope so a lot of people could use it, especially restaurant workers and bartenders.
