Now that I have your attention, it’s really not. More like a bring your own water or coffee and paint, cut, hot glue, or whatever else needs to be done and hang out with a bunch of crabby woman who have worked all day and still do this “FOR THE KIDS” (Just kidding…everyone is wonderful and they do a fabulous job). You can even send your husbands. We could always use them too. (As long as they aren’t engineers. My husband is and he actually reads the directions on everything taking far too long when he could have just looked at the picture like I do.)
In all seriousness though, After Prom is 11 weeks away. We are coming down to the wire and could really use your help with making decorations or with your donation of any supplies listed below. That night we totally transform several hallways, the cafeteria, and gyms into a night to remember based on the theme for the evening. Because we have a limited budget, most of the decorations are handmade by volunteers. If you can spare some time, we meet every Wednesday night at the high school at 6:30 until the final week before after prom at which time we will meet daily to finish up any loose ends. If you are able to help out on any Wednesday, we meet in the custodians’ room. You can park on the side of the high school and enter in the door by the dumpsters (I believe). You can also drop of donations at the same time and location. We are usually there until 8:30-9:00. If you cannot stay the entire time we understand (we will take what we can get). Bring a friend if you choose!
Wednesday nights craft supplies:
Scissors, paint brushes, glue, glue sticks, hot glue guns, drill, drill bits, black construction paper, masking tape, gold spray paint, black spray paint, yard stick/ ruler
Donations needed:
CD rom discs
Fishing line
Artificial flowers/ plants/trees (label trees for return)
Edison string lights ( label for return)
Green table clothes plastic/ roll
Red roll plastic table cloth
Large coffee cans
S hooks various sizes
Cardboard tubes
Pool noodles
Strand of white lights 50 or 60 count
Chalk board paint
Gray Paint
Packing Tape
10-12 of these

The Beer & Belly Sports Grille is a family-friendly restaurant with excellent food. For everyone who dines during the above time, they will donate 20% of all sales to After Prom. Invite your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
