NORTHFIELD CENTER, OHIO
Last month, Amateur “Ham” radio organizations in Russia sponsored a world wide digital radio contest. This contest was open to all 195 countries throughout the world. The contest involved making contact with as many Russian and other special stations as possible by using a “PSK” digital mode.
Two PrepNet Radio Group members and Northfield Center residents participated from beginning to end. Their efforts produced amazing results, which were just released.
Former Trustee, Paul Buescher (N8HHG) was awarded First Place in all 23 countries of North America including the USA.
And resident Dan Kuches (KE8KES) was awarded Second Place in the same categories.
Members of the radio group have received hundreds of prestigious contest awards from 33 countries since first participating in 2019.
Some of these were issued from:
- Australia
- Greenland
- Iceland
- Israel
- Japan
- South Africa.
This Northfield Center based group continues putting the community on the world map.
