Boys Baseball: Knights Fall To The Bears

By Chris Ramos

The Knights were edged by the North Royalton Bears in today’s game, with the final score being 9-6.

A quick start put the Bears up 4-1 early on, but the Knights responded forcefully with five runs in the fourth inning. The momentum faded however, and defensive errors proved heavy. A tough loss was the result.

Sophomore Robby Levak had two RBIs. Mike Hamrick (Fr.), Peter Toula (Jr,), Mason Mimms (Jr.), and Nathan O’Donnell (Sr.) each had one. Senior Trey Crockett recorded a stolen base.

Senior Daniel Heiser was pitching for Nordonia today, recording six strikeouts.

Yesterday’s game was Nordonia’s first conference loss, making their conference record 5-1. The overall record of the Knights is 8-4.

Nordonia will be away today, as they look to bounce back against the Brecksville Bees. First pitch is @ 4:30.

Go Knights!
