The NHCOC Women in Business Group is again reaching out to help rape victims though it’s Caring Clothes Project.  Many people don’t realize that nearly every article of clothing worn by a rape victim is taken for evidence in the emergency room.  They are usually sent home in used clothing hospital workers find for them.  The Women in Business Group is providing a 2 hour Self-Defense/Rape Prevention Workshop (provided by Endeavor Defense and Fitness) to raise money and awareness.  The date for this fundraising event is May 21, at Molon Labe CrossFit (9100 Valley View Rd., Macedonia).  Choose from the following 2-hour sessions:  10:00, 12:30 and 3:00.  The cost is $20.  Tickets can be purchased from the chamber office or www.eventbrite

And your generosity can benefit you in another way – bring NEW men’s and women’s dark colored sweat pants, t-shirts, socks, underwear and sweatshirts for a chance to win a raffle basket of goods and services donated by local businesses ($100+ value).  Let’s all “give back” and allow these victims to leave the hospital with dignity and with their heads held high.  We hope to see you all at Molon Labe CrossFit on May 21.
