From the desk of Dr. Joe Clark – Nordonia Community Drug Awareness Night November 8

Dear Nordonia Community,

Opiate and heroin addiction has become a significant public health concern in Summit County that has resulted in a dramatic rise in accidental deaths and considerable heartache. Nordonia Hills City Schools will host the NORDONIA HILLS COMMUNITY DRUG AWARENESS NIGHT on November 8, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. at Nordonia High School. The keynote speakers for the evening will be from the FBI and the DEA. They will bring their film _Chasing the Dragon_, created to raise the awareness of the opiate and heroin epidemic.

A speaker panel, including representatives from the Summit County ADM Board and our local safety forces and school prevention, will present information and answer questions. Many local agencies and programs will bring resources for treatment, mental health counseling, education and safe drug disposal. Attendees will be able to attend breakout sessions designed to educate participants about addiction, treatment, mental health, prevention and recovery.

Please see the Schedule of Events [1]. To help us plan for the event, please register at:
